Little Steven was a member of the E Street Band when they played The Palace in 1977 and 1978. The 1977 show was released by Springsteen as a live show bundled with Rochester. It was fun listening to that show as a bit of research.
I interviewed Little Steven for the Times Union to support his TeachRock tour. I asked him about that 1977 Palace show. You will get a kick out of what he said. Read and listen to the interview in my Times Union story.
He was a wonderful interview and I’ll always cherish those 45 minutes on the telephone with him. Unable to attend Friday’s show, I attended the TeachRock tour in New York City last night. It was a thrill to check out the band’s rehearsal, attend the pre-show seminar for teachers and witness Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul perform a phenomenal concert as part of his year-long tour dedicated to the teaching profession. Teachers, take advantage. Fans, get out and enjoy the return of Little Steven.
